This vegan matcha latte is proof that dairy-free does not mean flavour-free. Made with your choice of plant-based milk, this drink is creamy, smooth, naturally sweet, and completely satisfying.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 tsp matcha powder
  • 60ml hot water at 80C
  • 250ml oat milk or almond or soy milk
  • 1 to 2 tsp maple syrup or agave
  • Optional: pinch of cinnamon or vanilla

How to Make It

  1. Sift matcha powder into a cup or bowl.
  2. Add hot water and whisk vigorously until smooth and frothy.
  3. Heat oat milk until steaming. Add maple syrup and stir.
  4. Froth using a milk frother for 30 to 45 seconds until creamy.
  5. Pour matcha concentrate into your cup.
  6. Slowly pour frothed oat milk over the matcha. Let the layers form.
  7. Dust lightly with matcha powder. Serve immediately.
