Vegan Matcha Latte (Creamy, Plant-Based, and Ready in 5 Minutes)
This vegan matcha latte is proof that dairy-free does not mean flavour-free. Made with your choice of plant-based milk, this drink is creamy, smooth, naturally sweet, and completely satisfying.
Ingredients
- 1.5 tsp matcha powder
- 60ml hot water at 80C
- 250ml oat milk or almond or soy milk
- 1 to 2 tsp maple syrup or agave
- Optional: pinch of cinnamon or vanilla
How to Make It
- Sift matcha powder into a cup or bowl.
- Add hot water and whisk vigorously until smooth and frothy.
- Heat oat milk until steaming. Add maple syrup and stir.
- Froth using a milk frother for 30 to 45 seconds until creamy.
- Pour matcha concentrate into your cup.
- Slowly pour frothed oat milk over the matcha. Let the layers form.
- Dust lightly with matcha powder. Serve immediately.
