Almond Milk Matcha Latte (Dairy-Free and Totally Delicious)
This almond milk matcha latte is light, subtly sweet, and completely dairy-free. The mild flavour of almond milk lets the matcha shine beautifully.
Ingredients
- 1.5 tsp matcha powder
- 60ml hot water at 80C
- 250ml unsweetened almond milk
- 1 to 2 tsp honey, maple syrup, or sweetener
- Optional: vanilla extract
How to Make It
- Sift matcha into a bowl or large mug. Add hot water and whisk vigorously until smooth and frothy.
- Heat almond milk until just steaming. Do not boil.
- Add sweetener and a drop of vanilla extract to the milk and stir.
- Froth the almond milk using a milk frother for about 30 seconds.
- Pour matcha into your cup. Slowly pour frothed almond milk over the top.
- Sprinkle with a tiny pinch of matcha powder. Serve immediately.
